We wanted to share a short update on how we are managing product supply, delivery and pricing at Bavarian Automotive.
We supply specialist in-car technology and vehicle styling parts, including products we bring into the UK from overseas. The cost of running that supply chain has been changing: fuel is more expensive, domestic couriers have increased some charges, and DHL import shipping quotes have risen too. Those costs affect both bringing products into stock and delivering orders to customers.
Product availability and lead times
Some products are held in UK stock, while others need to be sourced for a particular vehicle or specification. We will continue to show availability and expected lead times as clearly as we can. If a supplier or carrier changes an expected delivery date after you order, we will update you with the information we have.
Pricing and delivery
We are reviewing supplier and carrier costs product by product. Where prices need to change, the current product price and delivery charge will be shown before you place an order. We will not add a new fuel surcharge to an order after checkout. DHL charges for bringing stock into the UK are costs to our business; they are separate from the delivery charge you see at checkout.
Our approach
We are continuing to compare shipping options, source the right parts for each vehicle and package orders appropriately for transit. We know that price and delivery time both matter when you are planning an upgrade, so we would rather explain the situation clearly than leave you guessing.
